Maybe...

I think you should work on getting it to fit together. Because the horns to me don't fit in with the beat.

I don't know, it's really up to you whether or not to continue.

Blasphem-E responds:

Ya, I guess I should see why they may not sound great together. Thanks for the thoughts

Pretty Cool

Was pretty attention grabbing there with the speedy rolling, this was pretty sweet. I kinda wish it had like... something I could follow along because it's all kinda really random sounding to me lol...

Anyway, just wondering, what drum emu/vst do you use?

Lazy-Dan35 responds:

Yeah Progressive is usually pretty random.
I used Reason software sampler (Built into Reason 4) with a Midi Keyboard to get the drum beats.

Beautiful

That, my friend, was one of the most inspirational and incredible piece's I've heard in a very long time. Basically everything about it was perfect to my ear, and usually I have at least one critical thing to say about a piece of music. This, however, makes my all-time list of awesomeness. Definitely downloading this to save for future use.

I just hope that one day my own mood will brighten up like yours did because this sounds like it's so full of hope for the future it actually makes me not want to kill myself and everyone around me :D (That last part as a joke, I'm not actually going to kill myself and everyone around me. Just everyone around me :P)

Thank you, I love long and good reviews like these. They mean alot to me and helps me carry on making music and stuff. Thanks alot!

Nostalgic LOL!!

Seriously, hearing this made me feel like I was 10 again. I saw 'Spiral Mountain', and in my head I was like "...No way". But seriously, this is awesomesauce.

You should totally do the variation it plays when you go under water. That one is awesome.

For real, this was awesome.

NINboy01wii responds:

Thanks, I wanted to do this song for a while and appreciate the awesome that is Grant Kirkhope for creating the original score for Banjo-Kazooie.

Hella Sexy, Dude!

Seriously, this is one of the dead sexiest Metallica covers I've ever heard. I have heard some of the other covers of Metallica songs by professional bands and even they need to bow down in awe of this mighty piece of pure badass.

There is honestly nothing I would do to change this song whatsoever. I'm gonna go ahead and say this sounds like the perfect cover. And as much as you probably don't think so, it's only because you made it and you are your own worst critic.

Props, man. Excellent cover.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks! I think it turned out ok...I am my own worst critic very true. I'm glad you enjoy this cover man! \m/

Interesting

I know the importance of listening to a song the whole way through, don't you worry :)

Listening to this, I really liked everything that went into it, and I understand it has more of an ambient kinda feel, like something that you could dance to in a club. But honestly, for me at least, a lot of the power and memorability of a song comes from a catchy, strong lead. And as this song is mostly ambient, it isn't designed for a lead like that(If design is even the right word to use there).

BUT, I imagine all the buildup from the beginning to around 4:48-ish could amount to a pretty powerful lead. I, personally, would drop the repeating note at 4:48, and bring all the percussion you have in and blast in with a crazy multi-voiced, high analog sinewave lead that really makes all the build worth it. THEN you can have the lead that goes on just before 4:48 come out for a few more rounds as it winds down and then commence with the note repeating that you've got going on at 4:48.

Totally would blow my socks off. And then you'd get to watch as I go find them. I live in a desert, that would suck. Sandy shoes are the worst.

Magik-Waffle responds:

Thank you for the long and well-thought-out review. I think you have some good advice. I appreciate it. :D

I like make the sound go "bwaaaww"
